Mental Health

 

As somebody with a special interest in mental health, and who provides regular

support to people in distress, these are my reflections:


People learn to adapt to the ways of the world, thinking like the others,
letting their minds be controlled by the mass media regarding what to 

think and how to live,
drifting along with the flow......what else is there.....people are lost.


How many people find their true inner nature, the buried treasure in the field, 

found beyond adherence to worldly status, ambition, pride, materialism, etc?


«The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, 

he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.»

The Coming of the Kingdom


«Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, 

He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; 

nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’

For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.»
Luke 17:20-21


How many seek God sincerely and with all their heart?

 
Today, the value of human life has been greatly diminished, disposable; 

through abortion, euthanasia, assisted suicide, and even just the very 

«normal» way people are using each other;
for sex, for money, for pleasure. We have lost the sense of right and wrong, 

because we have lost the reality of who we really are.

 
«What is man that You are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You visit him?
For You have made him a little lower than the angels,
And You have crowned him with glory and honor.
You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands;
You have put all things under his feet,
All sheep and oxen--
Even the beasts of the field,
The birds of the air,
And the fish of the sea
That pass through the paths of the seas.»

Psalm 8:4-8


In today's society, thank God, we have become very aware of the importance 

of mental health, personal counselling is the new religion, it is what people 

turn to when they are faced with something they can't cope with.


But there are risks, because counselling and psychotherapy allows a person to 

focus intently on themselves, to become self absorbed, to always look at how 

they feel, follow their feelings, and it has an inherent strong element of 

victim hood and no aspect of sin.


As for the pharmaceutical solution to emotional and mental trauma by the 

medical profession; it is very often unwarranted, and can cause the problems 

to become entrenched and thus not get a chance of healing.
 

I think that many, if not most, physical and mental illnesses have their original 

root in sin.


Jesus healed countless of sick people from all kinds of diseases, 

and He performed many miracles.


But He also afterwards denounced places where He had performed great 

miracles, because the people did not repent, they carried on as before.


Healing implies true conversion, changing the way we think, speak 

and act and always striving to become better people, more like God, 

trusting Him.


It leads to freedom; freedom of the burden of ourselves!
What a relief!


Nothing is more truly revolutionary than to actually follow Jesus and live 

according to His teaching. 

The inner freedom and peace is truly out of this world.


As long as we are here on earth we continue to be human, sinners, 

experience pain, but nobody can take away the deep joy.


God is the substance out of which we were created, the unchangeable 

reality behind the illusions of the world.


Trusting in God means letting go of ourselves, our image of ourselves, 

what others will think of us, even letting go of our instinct to cling to life.


As for the tsunami of mental health problems today, Jesus is the only 

psychotherapist that can heal all wounds, if we let Him.


“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in 

heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my 

burden is light.”

All believers are called to spread the truth of the Gospel, and all who have been 

baptised in the name of  The Father and of  The Son and of  The Holy Spirit are 

prophets and priests in this regard.

Last Saturday, March 19, was the first time I participated in street evangelisation.

I was thinking that those who believe already come to Mass, it is logical that we 

need to go outside the confines of the Church walls, to render the Church visible 

to the rest of the population.

I had briefly met Mike, Tadhg and Anthony the previous Sunday in the city, and 

after finding out what they were all about, I checked out their website

an email, and 6 days later, as they were coming back to Cork from Limerick, 

I was on the street with them.

The first person that came up to speak to me said she had just passed, further 

down the street, some people who wanted her to sign a petition to completely 

ban the Catholic Faith  from being taught in Irish schools.

It has already been downgraded in the school curriculum from being the only 

religion, to just one of many, but some people are desperate to eliminate it altogether.

But I was heartened to see so many young people taking the pamphlet, and a lovely 

young man told me he had been brought up in the Sacraments, he was Baptised, 

had his first Holy Communion, Confirmation, but «then all that stuff happened». 

I told him that every one of us, priests and bishops too, are sinners, that evil is 

everywhere, but that the teachings of the Catholic Church are perfect and true. 

Another man who had great memories from his childhood being brought to 

Church by his grandmother, came up to talk about his problems. 

I was prepared for negative reactions from the public; the wounds inflicted on the 

Church by some clergy,  but I didn't get any, apart from a woman who said to me 

that we don't need religion and all the rules that goes with it, she said that all that 

was needed was a good heart and kind actions. I reminded her that those precepts 

have their origin in Christianity, and that they are very important, but that the rules 

are there for good reasons, to heighten our awareness and control of ourselves, to 

enable us to overcome ourselves and to conquer all that prevents and hinders us 

from living in unity with the Living God, here and now. 

In Cork there are many Catholics, many who are sad about the way things are at 

the moment.

This is our opportunity to do something concrete about it, to pass from words to 

actions.

The catholicstreetevangelisation is a grass-root laity movement that helps the 

Church, the Faith, the priests. 

We are Catholics not just to gain our own salvation, we are mandated to go out and 

spread the Good News. 

«He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.» 

Mark 16:15

Good works

 

We are told to put the love of God, who is in us, 

into action;  by acts of charity, to help and come to the aid of others, 

that by loving others we love God; in manifest ways, by our words and actions.

But as we know that the devil, who is also in us, has developed many clever

tricks in his efforts to keep us from knowing God, we have to be careful with this 

just  as with everything else.

The love of God is not self serving, nor is it seeking worldly recognition, neither

is it following slavishly the world's interpretation of what good works are.

Anyone who knows God will recognize and see what they are, at any given

moment. The world is in desperate need of charitable actions; love in motion, 

we don't need to go looking for opportunities or waiting for the television (of all things!), 

or our  secular governments to tell us what we should do for others.

It is not about "ticking boxes", and certainly not about being seen and admired for 

our goodness.

To do things out of such a desire, is the way the pharisees acted, there are

still  many pharisees in the Church today, they tick all the right boxes, but everything 

is according to the standards of the world. 

Two good current examples would be the obedience to injecting oneself with the 

covid experimental injection which has injured and killed very many, and now

of course; to focus our good actions only on Ukraine.

 

When I was little, my mother, who was Christian but a protestant, signed me up for 

the girl guides, the girl section of the scouts. 

I can only say that I hated every moment of it, but I had to go.

My clearest memory from it is a paper sheet that was given to us; it had a list of

"good works", specific actions, to be carried out, and we literally had to tick boxes,

there had to be a minimum of those actions carried out, and I think there was rewards

given out too. I have seen something similar in catechism classes for children.

Once children, whose minds are still in the process of being formed and whose basic frames 

of references are being built for the rest of their lives, gets this idea installed and fixed

inside them,  it is very difficult to change it later on. Because with time, our initial 

installments goes underground, they become unconscious, but nevertheless they operate 

exactly out of the initial understanding. 

 

Obviously, it goes without saying, it is good to do good things for others, 

that is not the problem. 

The problem is that the focus can imperceptibly stay on the exterior, with the world, 

ticking boxes, instead of interior where true understanding flows from the prayer life 

and the Sacraments of the Catholic Church. 

 

The Catholic Church is not first and foremost a place where "we do things", she is the 

world's only bearer of the entire truth about God, and that has to always come first.

Sadly, today, in charge of the transmission of the Faith, we sometimes find people who, 

for example, believes that abortion is ok, and people who does not believe in the 

Real Presence of the Eucharist. 

They are heretical and hypocritical, they claim to represent the teaching, but they do not.

They think the most important thing is to be "nice", not to upset people, not to "judge",

but the truth must always come first. 

There is no true love without truth.

In regard to the work of ecumenism, this is not "good works", it is not about unity, 

it is heresy, and the result is unfortunately very visible in many Catholic parishes.

We can't bring about true unity by denying the truth, or changing it a bit here and a 

bit there, it becomes distorted.  

Furthermore, by playing the world's game by submerging the Church into politics and 

current affairs; if it wasn't for all the true and holy priests that we still have in the Church,  

she would  eventually become totally united with the world, and not with God. 

That is not good works.

 

 

  

 

 

Collaboration with evil

 

When we hear, see or experience evil, in whatever form or degree, and do nothing, 

out of fear, convenience, laziness or cowardice, we enable it to continue.

We become enablers, facilitators of evil. 

We might say to ourselves: " well it isn't me doing it, so I am in the clear".

Not so.

The evil might even be perpetrated against us personally, and still we might not 

react, for fear of standing out, fear of creating a "scandal" or whatever other fear.

Maybe out of fear of being labelled impolite, we might smile and say nothing and 

thus enabling and encouraging abusive behaviour to continue.

This facilitation, lack of resistance to evil, will in this way multiply in magnitude, 

and hurt many more people. That is why we have no real choice only to speak up 

and say clearly that this is wrong and why it is wrong.

From the smallest details of our ordinary lives to the big events on national and 

international levels, the most important always being our own behaviour. 

If someone is aggressive and accuses us falsely, we don't roll over and ask for 

forgiveness unless we think we have actually done something wrong.

That is not humility, it is co-operation with a lie.

We are unable to change another person, but from our own perspective we have 

to always tell the truth.

It is not a question of going to war, if the aggressor comes back heavier with more

lies and accusations, which he/she probably will as an automatic response, we say 

no more, because there is nothing more to say. 

There is no point, and nothing to be gained, from engaging with a dishonest 

person, a person who wants to take what is yours and who tells lies.

We must not be dragged down to that level, or enter into pointless debates that 

leads nowhere apart from mental and spiritual fatigue. 

From the individual level and towards all levels of authority, we need to have 

this fearless and honest attitude.

Within the Church Hierarchy this can be a big problem for many.

It is often interpreted as negative criticism or anti-cleracilisme.

It becomes about protecting, and we know where that has led the Church.

But evil and lies are everywhere, and we are members of the same Church, it is 

our duty to speak out against evil and wrong doing in the Church and everywhere.

In Our Lady's second message during her apparitions in Garabandal between 1961 and 1965, by the way, coinciding with the end of the Second Vatican Council, she said the following regarding the Church:

Matthew 13:24-30

The Parable of the Weeds

^{24 "}Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. ²⁵ But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. ²⁶ When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.

²⁷ “The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’

²⁸ “‘An enemy did this,’ he replied.

“The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’

²⁹ “‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. ³⁰ Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’” "

The weeds in this parable is the apostasies and heresies being promoted in the Church by members of the Church's hierarchy.

Evil is allowed by God, it serves a purpose. It provides the opportunity for the people of faith to become even stronger, to become holy, and to bring others to convert, even maybe also the apostates themselves.

There is a tendency amongst the faithful today to believe that the Church has never been in such a dire state as it is now, with heretical teachings from the highest echelons within the hierarchy, betraying the Truth;Our Lord Jesus Christ.

But no, and this is reassuring, although it mightn't seem like it, the Church has always had this element within, it has served the others to grow in faith and to pass it on to the next generation.

And the Church will go on, because 

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made, and without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." John 1: 1-5

Those who believe in people, be it priests, bishops, cardinals, are putting their trust in men instead of believing and trusting only in Jesus Christ, are practicing  idolatry. 

As Saint John Chrysostom, Archbishop of Constantinople, considered as one of the Fathers of the Church, who lived in the 5th century, said:

“The road to Hell is paved with the bones of priests and monks, and the skulls of bishops are the lamp posts that light the path.”

But at the same time there remains many good faithful priests, holy priests, who still preach the gospel of truth, in this murky world infiltrated by lies and corruption. 

How to pray?

The disciples asked Jesus how to pray and 

He taught them the "Our Father" prayer.

He said to address oneself in prayer in the same way as one would come to one's 

own biological father; with trust and confidence of being heard and taken care of.

I can't help but to think about all the children who has grown up without the presence 

of a father and also of all those who has grown up in the presence of an aggressive 

and violent father, something  that can destroy all trust in men and father figures. 

Because it's about trust and faith. The prayer that comes from the heart is pure. 

And after a prayer of supplication we have to LET GO. 

We do not dwell or worry about it, we simply continue to pray in confidence.

When our minds comes back to torment us with the : "but what if my prayers aren't 

heard" thoughts, because that will probably happen, it is Satan who wants to 

discourage us. 

We tell him to go away.

The most important element in a Catholic's life is total surrender of  ourselves. 

"Your will be done on earth (in us) as it is in Heaven"

Doing acts of Faith every day, during an ordinary day there are many opportunities 

to do that.

Never to lose focus that we are all one day going to pass through the door of 

physical death. That reminder is in so many of our prayers, to help us to get a 

proper perspective on our daily life today.

The "what if I don't get this or that"  ought  to be replaced with " thank you Lord, 

for everything you have given me".

If the focus is always on the one thing that we don't have, we put a veritable blockage 

in the way. 

That doesn't mean that we don't continue to pray for it, but the most important thing is 

that we hand ourselves over into His hands. 

If the problem persists it provides us however with a way to come much closer to 

the Lord; we can totally accept the situation as it is and let go of all resistance to it. 

We can offer up to God our sufferings like a gift and unite them to His sufferings 

for us.  It is true freedom. 

 

Dependency

 

It says in the Bible that the ones who don't work shall not eat:

^"In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers and sisters, 

to keep away from every believer who is idle and disruptive and does not live 

according to the teaching you received from us. For you yourselves know how 

you ought to follow our example. We were not idle when we were with you,  

nor did we eat anyone’s food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked 

night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of 

you. We did this, not because we do not have the right to such help, but in order 

to offer ourselves as a model for you to imitate. For even when we were with 

you, we gave you this rule: “The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.”

We hear that some among you are idle and disruptive. They are not busy; they

 are busybodies. Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to

 settle down and earn the food they eat. And as for you, brothers and sisters, 

never tire of doing what is good."

(2 Thessalonians 3, 6-13)

 

Many people have chosen to stay dependent on the State in the form of a 

social welfare payment of one sort or another, despite being aware that they 

are capable of working. They run the risk of arriving at an attitude of believing 

that they are entitled to receive freely from everybody else in their lives, 

and lose the capacity and willingness to give of themselves. 

Unconsciously they might always seek to see in what way they can profit from 

a person, how much they can get out of them, and at the first hurdle they 

"move on", maybe saying the relationship or friendship "didn't work anymore",

because of whatever. 

It doesn't only apply to money, it can be about anything. 

But to receive payment from work, the result of a contribution made to society 

in one form or another, and then use that money to buy food or other 

necessities, just feels right. I would use the word "justified".

There is a natural order to life, it is normal to participate and contribute to 

society, and it is also great that those who cannot work, due to illness or old age 

are supported by those who can work. It is natural order.

But being unnecessarily dependent on the State makes them in 

reality beholden, it takes away their freedom to make real choices in their life, 

because whatever presents itself as opportunities will have to fit in around the 

situation of receiving this money, so it can become a burden.

 

The truth is that we are totally dependent beings, we are dependent on God.

Living this reality, we will lean on Him only, ask Him to help us,

always turn to Him, because we fully realize that He provides EVERYTHING

we need, at any moment. We know this because our eyes have been opened, 

and they can never again be closed. 

To follow Jesus is to do like Him. Jesus did not defend Himself, He did not 

cling to this life, we must have the same internal freedom and stop following

our own defensive mechanisms. 

Always  having the same reactions; fight or flight, around and around in 

circles.  We have to step out of this mechanical pattern. 

Do something new; like trusting God.

Those who are unable to trust in God's providence in all things, can never 

get to know Him.

Like Saint Therese of Lisieux said: What hurts God the most, 

is the lack of trust in Him.

 

You Will Know Them by Their Fruits

Matthew 7:15-20

 "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing,  

but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits.  

Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? 

Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.  

A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.  

Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into 

the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them".

 

What takes us away from the reality of the living presence of God 

on Earth is the crooked workings of our minds, the wish to be comfortable, 

to always seek pleasure, to avoid pain at all cost, and our own efforts 

to "save ourselves".

 

With our minds we interpret, assess, calculate, in other words we judge.

This is unavoidable, it is the formation and conditioning of our environment, 

"of the world".

 

But as Catholics we are called to NOT FOLLOW the world, the mind of 

the world, the thoughts and the ways of the world.

 

We live IN the world, but not OF the world. The Bible tells us to not judge.

 

The fact that every individual is unique, and therefore each one of us have 

our own individual experience and interpretation of all and every event and 

situation, makes it clear that we need to carefully discern the contents of our 

minds.

So many people have also had the personal experience of having been tricked 

by the workings of their own minds, never mind the manipulations and 

dishonest trickery done by others.

 

The mind is a wonderful tool, which ought to be properly utilized and optimized. 

Bearing in mind that it works much like a computer; it functions according to it's configurations.

If there is a problem with the configurations, there will also be constant problems 

with running the programs.

The way to avoid being trapped in the mind, is to wholeheartedly follow 

the Word of God. 

To trust in God with your entire life and all life situations; with your body, 

intelligence and willpower. For that to be possible we need a high level of 

awareness, which can only be achieved by a dedicated prayer life and nourishment 

in the Sacraments of the Church.

As Saint Therese of Lisieux pointed out; it is in the everyday small gestures,

actions and words that we grow in the love of God, and where we manifest Him.

What you do in small things, you will do in big things, it is about the 

configurations of our heart.

Luke 16:10-14:

"Whoever can be trusted with small things can also be 

trusted with big things. Whoever is dishonest in little 

things will be dishonest in big things too. If you cannot 

be trusted with worldly riches, you will not be trusted 

with the true riches. And if you cannot be trusted with 

the things that belong to someone else, you will not be 

given anything of your own. “You cannot serve two 

masters at the same time. You will hate one master and 

love the other. Or you will be loyal to one and not care 

about the other. You cannot serve God and Money at 

the same time.” The Pharisees were listening to all 

these things. They criticized Jesus because they all 

loved money."

The small actions we do, reveal who we are.

 

It could be for example someone who tells you in a moment of potential need that you 

can not depend on them, despite declarations of love. 

That is not love, true love is always 

manifested in actions, not in words.

  

For the Church; what are the fruits of Vatican 2, the "modernization",

"moving with the times",  that has followed?

 

Before the second Vatican council God was Absolute, Immovable, Unchangeable.

God has not changed, but the church has walked away from God and follows the 

world instead, whatever way the wind blows, political champions of the climate 

and of mass immigration and globalization, LGBT rights and even participating 

in the highly immoral segregation of church goers according to their vaccination 

status. 

The bishops are lost, they are weak because they have gone away from the 

absoluteness of God and are now just following the world.  

Novus Ordo Mass goers today have no problem to receive The Body of Christ

every Sunday, even though they might not have been to Confession for years 

or even decades. 

Many Catholics are in fact Protestants in their practice of the Faith, so

I think it is safe to say that the fruits of  V2 are rotten. 

 

Since Vatican 2 the subjective interpretation of the Gospels mixed with the 

personal opinion of those who are responsible for passing on the teaching 

and the precepts of the church has caused nothing but confusion and loss of 

Faith. 

 

Those who have believed that it was up to them to make the Gospel 

"more relevant" only revealed that they themselves did not understand it, 

because you cant make the Word of God "more relevant", 

it is ALWAYS MAXIMUM RELEVANT, and not to be interfered with.

 

The theology of the Church is of metaphysical and supernatural nature.

The aim is, that while grounded in earthly life, for Man to be reconciled to 

God while still on earth.

 

Unlike Muslims, for whom life with God concerns exclusively the after-life, 

they do not have the Only Mediator between God and Man; Jesus Christ.

Muslims believe that Jesus was a Prophet, but do not believe that He is God.

 

The relationship with God must start here in this dimension, before our 

physical death, hence the importance of good catechism and catholic education. 

Remember that Canon law was the basis for Civil law in Europe, upon which 

was built strong powerful nations; rich in culture, scientific development and 

community.

That is not to say that I am delusional in regard to the many imperfections, 

injustices, horrors and grave errors there has always been in society, 

and they are the fruits of Man's fall from grace, 

we are ALL sinners and need to repent.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  

 

Church and state

 

If we needed more proof, the lockdowns surely provided it; 

the Church is under the authority of the state, she can only operate 

in the measure that she has permission to, by the state.

In this way we have the 2 directly opposite powers; 

divine and terrestrial, mixed,

with the only possible result of dilution of the transmission 

of the full Divine Truth,

Eternal Wisdom and Eternal Life which can only be obtained through

the authentic teachings of the Catholic Church.

Hardly anybody receives proper catechism today; protestantism,

subjective misinterpretations, blurred vagueness and confusion are the 

order of the day.

The one universal church that pope Francis is putting in place has no 

room for Jesus Christ, it is completely earthly;

ideologies of all kinds, blatant paganism, ecology, globalist politics 

of mass immigration; to make one big mix; mix of all races, all colours, 

all cultures, to leave us with one unique grey colour of uniformity. 

Is that what we want?

 

 

 

What is being SAID versus what is being HEARD

 

Words are real substance; they have the true power to destroy or to build.

Frequently, spoken words are not understood by the person to 

whom the words are spoken, because he perceives, 

presumes, and interprets the words incorrectly.

He might even come back after and accuse the speaker of not having explained

things properly, or maybe of having misled him.

 

Words that we are accustomed to hearing, might become just background 

noise, 

we listen to them, and we might even repeat them ourselves, but not 

necessarily hear them anymore.

But often when something happens that changes our perspective; that snaps 

us out of the ordinary which we are accustomed to, our perception becomes 

heightened, we hear, words sink in.

 

What stands in the way, is each individual's interpretation.

The cultural aspect is extremely significant; its not enough to understand 

the actual language, but all the connotations within it.

 

It is also true for The Word of God, we understand it differently, but 

there the difference is that The Word of God is true for everybody, it is the 

Truth that WAS, IS, and WILL ALWAYS BE.

 

In the Catholic doctrine, we are asked to surrender our personal interpretation

of everything and everybody, because they are blockages to God.

They literally stand in the way, we have to make a way through our individual 

minds with all its complex and unconscious operations, its storage of hurt, 

memories and interpretations, of judging (condemning) others and thus 

MAKE A WAY FOR THE LORD.

We must become small, (humble) so that the living God, who lives in us, can 

become big in us: so that He is accorded space in us, in order to shine and grow.  

We have to forgive, even if people don't recognize what they have done wrong,

because un-forgiveness is not possible with God. It is poisonous energy.

 

Catholics are not called to be social workers, , we are not called to work any

political agenda, neither to become environmentalists,  we should not be living 

according to earthly values. 

We live in the world, but not of the world, 

for this world is not reality, 

it is fleeting and illusionary.

 

Catholics are called to one thing, and one thing only: 

to unite our hearts to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Our prayers; Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, 

all the mysteries of the Rosary,

the Stations of the Cross, 

All The Sacraments, (especially The Sacrament 

of Reconciliation: Confession), 

The Mass, 

Sacred Scripture reading are necessary.

 

In order to overcome ourselves, we have to go through ourselves, 

we have to accept our crosses;  pain and loss, there are no bypasses. 

 

 

Temptation

 

In France they reformulated the part of Our Father that says

"lead us not into temptation"

into "do not let us get into temptation" 

which is more precise, as it is never God who leads us into 

temptation, but the adversary.

One of the biggest temptations and mistakes we make is to 

trust in people.

 

Trust is fundamental in all relationships, but in the relationship

with God it is the deciding factor. 

Do I trust in Him or not,

do I trust a little or hesitantly?

 

BELIEF and TRUST are totally intertwined.

Truly Believing and and truly Trusting allows surrender to take 

place, to dare to let go of ourselves; our minds, and to trust God 

with everything. 

Acts of surrender requires courage.  

We should always resist the temptation to put our trust in the 

words of any person, remembering that our words are products 

of our thoughts, and the thoughts of man are not the same as  

the thoughts of God.

 

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are 

your ways my ways,” declares the LORD.“

 (Isaiah 55:8)

Still today people put their full trust in the powers of the world; 

in their governments and all other authority. Unquestioningly 

they submit to them, even when things might seem absurd, they do 

not even really question anything that comes from worldly authority.

They don't believe or trust in God, they believe in their corrupt 

presidents and premier ministers and in their equally fearful and 

confused friends, colleagues and family. 

They even put their trust in film stars, famous artists and actors 

who often only got the top due to them selling their souls.

 

Jesus told us to do the exact opposite; not to try and save ourselves,

He said that to try and save our bodies at the expense of our souls 

will lead to damnation, He said to take up our cross and do like Him, 

not to defend ourselves, even if it leads to us losing our physical life,

which in any case, we are going to lose sooner or later. 

 

When things are really bad, it can be hard to still trust in God;

even Jesus Himself cried out to His Father on the Cross:

"Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani " -- which means, 

"My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"

 

While in the desert, the devil tempted Jesus with all

worldly riches and power, the devil mocked Him as well saying

that if He really was the one He said He was; the Son of God, 

He would surely be able to save Himself even if He threw 

himself off a cliff.

 

"5Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the 

highest point of the temple. 6“If you are the Son of God,” he said, 

“throw yourself down. For it is written:

“ ‘He will command his angels concerning you,

and they will lift you up in their hands,

so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’ ^c ”

7Jesus answered him : 

“It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test’."

 

The last sentence refers to presumption and arrogance, 

taking things for granted, not living surrendered to God.

We have to be ready to suffer, when it comes our way.

We will have the resource to endure whatever it is; because

Jesus, living God, is our strength, He is very close, 

He is inside us.

These are just some of our Lady's titles.

She is also referred to as Our Advocate.

She intercedes for us with Her Son, 

the Source of Divine Life: Jesus. 

 

Praying the Holy Rosary to Our Lady on a daily basis, 

is meditating on the Life of Jesus. 

It brings strength and light to the soul.

"That is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does 

not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you 

and will be in you."

John 14:17

 

 

 

Self sabotage

 

Our words and actions have their origin in our thoughts.

What we think and believe forms our life. 

If we can control and decide our thoughts, we have control 

of our lives.

Before we have a feeling or a reaction, we have a thought, 

even if the thought is so quick that it has not been registered 

by our awareness, it did take place.

Imagine what could manifest itself if we change our thinking, 

because what we think is what we believe.

This approach is used by psychologists who practices cognitive 

behavioral therapy in treating problematic behaviour in their 

patients which arises out of thoughts and beliefs about oneself. 

But when we Catholics confess our sins at the start of every 

Mass, we say: 

"I confess to almighty God, and to you, my brothers and sisters, 

that I have sinned through my own fault, in my thoughts and 

in my words, in what I have done, and in what I have failed to do; 

and I ask blessed Mary, ever virgin, all the angels and saints, and 

you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the Lord our God"

it is in order to eliminate from our minds everything that impedes 

us from living with God, through God and in God.

Because the limits created by our petty and selfish thoughts, 

creates blockages.

Contrary to us, God is without limit, infinite, He is all Powerful; 

He can do all things, but He can only act in us if we let go of ourselves, 

change our way, change our thinking. 

It is we that stands in the way. 

That is why we have to get out of the way.

Humility, simplicity. 

 

Faith

 

 

Here in France, like elsewhere,  the psychological assault regarding the 

"vaccine"  is so devious that it makes my skin crawl.

It's understandable that some people gives in to it.

Because it takes courage and real Faith to resist it.

But today something interesting took place.

 

At the Saturday open market this morning one of the traders spotted the Rosary 

bead in my hand, while I was strolling around praying a decade of the Rosary 

while waiting for my husband to finish his purchases.

 

The trader, an African man, came out from behind his stall to show me some of 

the beads he was selling, to entice me to buy some, at the same time he asked me 

if I also prayed for other people when I prayed.

 

We got talking, I told him I was Catholic, he told me he was Muslim.

He told me how the Muslims also honors Jesus "along with all the Prophets" 

going back to Abraham.

The way he said it was "Jesus and all the other prophets". 

He told me that the Muslims also pray to the Virgin Mary.

 

This I knew already, but when I said that Mary is the Mother of Jesus, and also 

Our Mother, he looked a bit bewildered.

He continued about how true faith resides in the heart of people, and there we 

were in agreement. He said what you believe in, in your heart, 

will manifest itself. 

He seemed certainly to be a genuine person, because at that stage he knew 

I wasn't interested in buying anything from him. 

What he meant to say was more or less along the lines of: 

"we are praying to the same God." 

 

But when I told him that Jesus was not just one of the Prophets, but that Jesus is God, 

he looked amazed, and I told him that the teaching of the Catholic Church is 

precise and codified, he looked puzzled. 

I could tell he had never heard any of those things before, he looked intrigued. 

 

Because if us who believes in Jesus, who pray to him every day, and do our very best

to follow the commandments and not to sin, to confess our sins when we do, we receive

His Real Body into our bodies in the Sacrament of the Eucharist, 

how can that not manifest itself?   

 

Going away from him I told him I would pray for him, and he looked happy. 

 

I had been evangelizing without even knowing it, without having planned it, and what 

was it that started it all? 

The Rosary bead in my hand.

 

Obviously it is not enough to hold it in our hands, but by praying the Mysteries of the 

Life, Death and Resurrection of Our Lord on it, renders it the most powerful tool of all

for the conversion of souls and for resisting Satan. 

 

 

 

 

The Spiritual Battle

 

Not Peace, but a Sword

 

“Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. 

I have not come to bring 

peace, but a sword.  For I have come to set a man against 

his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-

in-law against her mother-in-law. And a person's 

enemies will be those of his own household."

(Matthew 10, 34-36) 

 

This is where we are now; things are becoming harder and harder, the 

governments are screwing the screws  tighter and tighter. Relentless fear 

promotion, pressure, coercion, manipulation, bribery, blackmail, trying 

their best to break the spirits of the ones who are "hesitant", (don't want it), 

and using NLP methods and other psychological programming methods, 

they are getting the general public to use the same language when they 

speak to each other as they use in their advertising campaign: 

"did you get the vaccine yet?"

 

It is insidious, insane, the governments are openly lying and contradicting 

themselves, spreading confusion and mistrust.

We must not be swept into this, we have to stay calm when someone close to 

us suddenly does a u-turn and turns on us, and tell us to get the "vaccine". 

 

Hold steady, trust that now that world as we knew it is collapsing around us,

hand in hand with the Catholic Church, which is not even trying to cover up 

any more that it is infiltrated by satanists,  God is still in charge!

 

This had to happen, the old rotten institutions have to crumble. 

We have to be actively involved, fighting, resisting,

not complying, helping each other, spreading information. 

The source we have to draw on is of course Jesus, and by 

Prayer, Mass, The Eucharist, Confession and The Rosary we are equipped 

for battle.
