The Fourth Joyful Mystery: The Presentation of The Infant Jesus in the Temple

Mary and Jesus were law abiding Jews, and according to Jewish

custom the Infant Jesus had to be presented in the Temple.

There they met Simeon who recognized The Baby Jesus for who

He was; the Christ of God.

This Mystery corresponds to our Sacrament  of Baptism,

when the infant is brought and presented by it's parents into

the Church.

Christianity grew out of the old Jewish Law, Jesus came

not to do away with the old Law, but to make it progress

into the fullness of Truth.

For us it is a reminder to be obedient to the Divine Law;

The Word of God, and to rid ourselves of every sin that drags

us down.

By prayer, by Confession, by The Eucharist; Conversion.

Fruit of the Mystery: Obedience and Purity

May the grace of the Mystery come into our souls
